MEALS ON WHEELS
Coordinator: Nena White

Since the 1970’s, our church has provided volunteers to deliver hot meals to those in our community who need them through Meals on Wheels.  Most of the recipients are elderly, but some are temporarily disabled or recovering from surgery.  Currently seven local churches help, so we are responsible every seventh week.  Many times the volunteer is the only outside contact that the meal recipient sees.  They are always glad to see us!  On an average weekday, 20 meals are delivered over 2 routes – so in less than an hour’s time, all the meals are being enjoyed. If you would like to volunteer as a driver, please contact our church’s coordinator, Nena White on 532-2500.
